Supplementary preparation

Go deeper with supporting medical and science review.

These optional resources can reinforce physiology, disease processes and advanced clinical concepts alongside nursing preparation. Every product is explicitly labeled because it was not created as NCLEX-specific material.

How this collection fits

Supplement your preparation without confusing the exam target

Some students benefit from a deeper explanation of biology, pulmonary physiology, clinical medicine or disease mechanisms. Material originally developed for medical or premedical review can sometimes clarify those supporting concepts. It should not, however, be mistaken for an NCLEX question bank or used as the main guide to nursing scope, priorities and test-plan coverage.

Use this collection after identifying a specific overlap. For example, an advanced pulmonary review may help you understand ventilation, gas exchange and disease progression. You should then return to nursing-focused questions that test assessment, safety, interventions, education and evaluation. The supporting resource builds background knowledge; the NCLEX-focused resource helps you apply that knowledge within nursing practice.

What the labels mean

Every item in this collection carries a “Supplementary” badge and a “Not NCLEX-specific” notice. Its product page uses supplementary language in the title, category, facts and structured data. This protects students from assuming that a USMLE, MCAT or medical-board resource follows the NCLEX test plan. Preview pages are available so you can decide whether the content actually addresses your learning gap.

Third-party exam and publisher names identify the subject or origin of the reviewed material and do not imply endorsement, partnership or equivalence. NursingProxy is independent. Only resources for which NursingProxy has confirmed distribution rights are eligible for publication.

Keep the official test plan at the center

Your primary preparation should remain grounded in current official candidate information and nursing-focused clinical judgment. These supporting PDFs are optional. They do not contain or claim to contain live, leaked or recalled NCLEX questions, and they do not guarantee a passing result. Refer to the official NCLEX preparation website for the current test plan, policies, eligibility and scheduling information.
